Law of Attraction - How to Be The Calm In The Eye Of This Storm

Wow! Wild ride on the financial roller coaster yesterday wasn’t it? Do you want to know one of the first things I asked myself when the stock market closed yesterday? I asked myself how many people played the number 777 yesterday in the daily number.

That to me is eternal optimism. Take what others consider a “bad” number and see if you can turn it into something good.

So…back to that wild ride! I guess that is what we can expect living on the leading edge as we are. Do not forget we chose to come down to Earth during this exciting time of change and even though at times it gets a little scary, we didn’t want it any other way.

More energy is being sent to this planet that ever before in Earth’s history. It is being sent here by our higher selves for the purpose of experiencing an unprecedented spiritual awakening in human consciousness than has ever been experienced on the planet before.

This energy not only affects our spiritual growth however. As you have probably noticed it is causing everything to move much faster than it ever has on the planet before.

Just as it is no “accident” that we have come further in the last 50 years in regard to technology and advancement than we have in the last 2000 years combined, it is also no “accident” that whatever we are going to experience during this Earth lifetime is going to be of unprecedented proportions.

Be it hurricanes or Wall Street fluctuations – it is going to be big!

So now that you know this, are you going to let this energy work for you or against you? Are you going to “go with the flow” with excitement or “fight the current” with resistance?

You see this energy surge is happening if your ego mind likes it or not. Remember that you knew what this Earth period was going to be like before you even came down and you eagerly volunteered to be a part of it.

More important to remember however is that just as calamities can happen at monumental speed during this time period, so can unbelievable miracles.

You can become “poor” overnight or you can become a millionaire! It all depends on what you choose to keep your focus on.

It is not so much of a test of your creative abilities, but more of an opportunity to play with them as you never have before!


So how can you take advantage of this opportunity?

The first thing you need to do is become “the calm in the eye of the storm.”

Visually imagine if you will that you are standing in the center of a small hurricane that surrounds you. You are perfectly safe and calm in the middle as these tornado-like winds swirl around you. That safe space is your higher self. It is always calm and knows that nothing “out there”can hurt it. Now imagine you have a piece of paper in your hand with something written on it. It can have something good written on it or bad. You lift your hand with the piece of paper and let it fly with the winds. And believe me – it will fly! Higher and faster than you can imagine! Whatever you wrote on that paper is going to come to fruition faster than it ever has in history.

So what do you want to write on that piece of paper?

The choice is yours. It is up to you and only you!

Now if at first that sounds a little frightening, remember this. It Is Time and You Are Ready.

How do I know this? Because you are visiting this site and because you are reading articles such as this one. Because you are one of the people on the “leading edge” and it is no accident. Because your higher self has been preparing you to take advantage of this wonderful time in history.

And it is a wonderful time!

Pay no attention to what the media is trying to sell you! They make their money on ratings and they fight for those ratings by trying to outdo each other in the gloom and doom department.

Now please understand, I am not saying that our country is not going through problems right now. That much is obvious and it would be silly to try and ignore it. But instilling constant panic and terror into the people of this country is even sillier. It helps no one. That is just as obvious.

Panic and terror equal hasty and foolish decisions. Hence the reason it is time for you to be the calm in the eye of the storm. To take a deep breath and calmly watch things swirl around until you feel the time is right to lift up that piece of paper and let go.

You are safe, you are protected and you do not have to make any decisions until you are ready to.

Keep your thoughts focused on that calm spot. Stay away from the news and try to avoid getting into conversations with others about how “bad” the situation is. Nothing can drop your vibrational level as quickly as that kind of negative focus.

Start retraining your brain to start looking for opportunities in this situation right now. Tell yourself there is a way you can benefit from this…so what is it? Keep asking your higher self for guidance. Tell yourself “I know this is happening for a reason right now. I know there is a way I can benefit from this situation right now – guide me to what it is.”

Start trying to think outside of the box. Where there is “bad” there is always its opposite of “good”

Believe me, when this mini “crisis” is over there will be people who made a lot of money due to opportunities most others didn’t see.

This is what you have been “training” for and there is no better time than the present to put it into practice. It Is Time!

How One Degree Can Make All Of The Difference

Morning All!

I was happily surfing YouTube this morning when I came across this great video.

It is a reminder of what taking that one extra step (or one degree) can do for you.

That one step that is the difference between success and failure.

Law of Attraction Manifestation Exercise #30 - Faking It Till You Make It

If any of you have been following me on Twitter you may have heard me mention that I was reading a book titled How Come That Idiot's Rich and I'm Not? by Robert Shemin. (I bought it because I absolutely loved the title!)

In the past I have written posts about walking around feeling "as if" you are already the success that you want to be.

How would you walk, how would you feel, what kind of thoughts would be going through your head?

Well there is a great chapter in the book that takes the mental exercise a few fun steps further.

It describes steps that you can take right now to start living like a Rich person.

For instance:

Dress like a Rich Person Would Dress All The Time

You don't need to wait to have a million dollars to dress like a rich person. Try some of these ideas:

1. Think you can't afford to wear designer clothes? Think again. Consignment shops are popping up all over the place and there is a very good reason why. It is an awesome way to dress expensively for pennies on the dollar! If you have any qualms about "second hand clothes" keep this in mind. Rich people take very good care of their clothes. They only wear them once or twice (sometimes not even that much) and they usually have them dry cleaned. You couldn't ask for a better way to "feel" rich than wearing what the rich are wearing.

2. Look for garage sales or estate sales in expensive neighborhoods. Same principle. Buy expensive items for next to nothing, yet feel awesome!

3. Even watch what you wear while at home. Would a rich person walk around with those sweatpants with the hole in them? I know, I know… they are comfortable…but couldn't you find something just as comfortable without the hole? Imagine what a rich person would look like when they open their mansion door to unexpected company. What would their "casual" dress style be?

Go To Places That Rich People Go

O.K. granted you might not be in the position to buy a $500 dinner this evening at the richest restaurant in town. You probably can however afford $40 for a salad and a couple of glasses of wine. So do it! Dress in your new designer duds and go to that expensive restaurant. Enjoy your wine as you look around and soak up the ambiance. Afraid you will feel like you don't belong there? Think again. It's only a restaurant!! Your paying your money just like everyone else. And seeing that rich people always seem to be on diets, ordering only salad and wine are quite the norm.

The purpose of this exercise is to break your previous "I don't belong here" feelings! Of coarse you do! And the more often you put yourself in these places the more comfortable you will begin to feel. Not to mention the fun you can have "people watching"! Oh and don't forget to tip big and talk friendly to your servers! It's a great way to be remembered. How cool is it that you are will now be "known" in the best restaurant in town!

Shop Smart
Do you want to know one of the ways rich people stay rich? They do their best not to pay full price for anything. They look for discounts whenever possible and then put the money they saved to better use earning them even more money.

So if you ever stood at a checkout counter with coupons saying to yourself "I can't wait till the day I don't need to use these anymore" - think again! The best way to turn your money into even more money is to save every dime that you can, every chance that you can. Never look at cutting costs as "being poor" - look at cutting costs as "being smart."

Rich people will check with 10 insurance companies to get the best rates. They will call their credit card companies and make deals to have their interest rates cut. They will find and use every discount they can so the money they save can work for them.

So start looking for tons of more ways that you can cut your expenses. The more you save the "richer" you will be.

Get upgraded When You Vacation:

This is an idea that I received from the book that I had never considered before.

Become A Travel Agent. It is not difficult at all. If you go online and type How To Become A Travel Agent in Google, a ton of sites pop us. Some places even offer an automatic free 3 day vacation just for trying them out.

But just think of the amazing future benefits! You can get major discounts, commissions, automatic upgrades and even free trips to awesome locations. Plus you can make some extra cash just by booking friends and families vacations whenever they decide to go somewhere.

(I took a trip to Jamaica about 15 years ago with a friend of mine who happened to be a travel agent. I can't tell you how the staff bent over backwards to make her happy and the extras she received just so she would be sure to recommend the resort to her customers.)

So give it a try! It's quick, it's easy and it will make you feel like a richer person immediately!

There are a few more ideas in the book about things you can do to feel "richer" right now. For example ways to open a savings account now, hunt for cash game, swap houses or volunteer to house sit for someone, stop owning and start leasing, etc.

If you would like to find out more I definitely recommend you purchase a copy of the book for yourself. It is a fun and easy read but filled with awesome advice about how to overcome a "lack of money" mindset.

In the meantime put some of these ideas to work for you right now and start "Faking It Till You Make It!"

Law of Attraction Manifestation Exercise #29 - The Self Appreciation List

So, you want the Law of Attraction to work for you. You ask Universe (or your higher self, if your prefer) for a list of things that you would like to attract into your life, but time and time again they don't seem to be forthcoming.

You have probably already tried working on your thoughts, said a ton of affirmations, created a vision board and a bunch of other exercises. And while you see miracles happen once in awhile, they don't seem to happen nearly often enough or last long enough to make a permanent change in your life.

If this is true for you, then it is time to ask yourself this one serious question: What makes you think you deserve it?

What makes you think you deserve the perfect job, perfect relationship, perfect friendships, an abundance of money, a peaceful spiritual life? Can you answer that question?

If not, then this is the exercise is for you!

You see, in the eyes of Universe you are entitled to all of those things simply by existing. Simply by BEING. Since the day you were delivered on this planet you have been naturally entitled to enjoy every single thing this planet has to offer. No one has more of a right to it than you do.

So if it is not Universe that is keeping it from you (and it really isn't) than what is preventing these things from happening?

I'll ask you the question again. What makes you think you deserve it?

You see too often we do not give ourselves nearly enough credit for all that we do. We put things in the "have to" category and forget that all the wonderful things we do everyday for others are actually "choices" we choose to make.

For instance:

I "have to" go to work to pay the bills. No, actually you don't "have to" - you choose to keep your family safe and comfortable.

I "have to" take care of my kids. No you don't "have to". Technically you could skip out tomorrow. The fact of the matter is you choose to because you love them.

I "have to" clean the house, "have to" visit my parents, "have to" go food shopping, etc.

The truth is you don't "have to" do any of those things. There is no one standing over you with a gun to your head. These are choices you are making for the benefit of yourself and others.

So the question now is, why aren't you giving yourself credit for them?.

Why are you letting this pesky little critter called "ego" go on and on about all the reasons you should feel bad or guilty or undeserving and not give you credit for the 100 or so things you do every day that are positive?

That is where this exercise comes in. It is time to beat "ego" at its own game. It is time to override all those negatives with hundred of positives every week. And you're going do it again and again and again until it finally gets the message that you are not a bad person but an awesome one who works hard and it entitled to anything it asks for.

So how are you going to do this.? Simple. You are going to write an I Am Proud Of Myself List.

And you are going to do this every day until your ego finally gets it.

For instance:

I am proud of myself for going to work today even though I would have rather slept in.
I am proud of myself for getting my kids ready for school, even if I wasn't in the mood.
I am proud of myself for cleaning the house, even though I would have rather read a book.
I am proud of myself for going to the PTA meeting for my children's benefit even though I would have rather have stayed in and watched T.V.

And so on and so on.

I am proud of myself that I paid that bill, I am proud of myself I gave my friend that ride, I am proud of myself for thinking of my parents and going for a visit.

You will not believe how quickly this will start to make you feel better and more deserving all the way to your core!.

Now you might ask "what if I can't come up with things to be proud of?" Piece of cake!

Use your to-do list. If you don't normally keep a to-do list - start one now!

And everyday write out a list of what you do all day long. Such as:

Wake the kids
Make them breakfast
Get them to school
Ger ready for work
Start this project
Make those copies
Mail those bills
Call this friend
Run this errand
Call this bank
Pick up dinner
Cook dinner
Do homework with the kids, etc.

Mark off these things as you go along your day. (Extra benefit is that you will be much more organized as well as feel more accomplished.)

But now you will have your whole list in front of you of things you should be proud of. Choices you have made and followed through on, even if you didn't really feel like doing them.

Now the important part of this exercise is to write or type out the entire sentence of I Am Proud Of Myself for __________.

Don't just write that once and then list things underneath. Make sure you write out the complete sentence for every line. You are going to get this into your subconscious if it likes it or not! It is time for ego to learn its lesson!! And every day you are going to tell it "I am proud of myself for… I am proud of myself for…I am proud of myself for…". And you are going to start feeling as deserving as you naturally are.

Then watch how quickly your desires will manifest!. When you prove to yourself how deserving you really are - there will then be no resistance or pushing away when Universe naturally delivers what you have asked for.

Plus there is also the immediate benefit of simply making yourself feel good, giving yourself credit for jobs well done. You will find that even doing this exercise only once or twice will immediately make you feel better and more deserving.

So go for it today! You do deserve whatever you want to create in this life. Now prove it to your self.

Law of Attraction: Having Fun Taking Your Vision Board To A Whole New Level

So I woke up yesterday excited about the new MindMovies program being shipped to me (I am really looking forward to using the Subliminal part) and I decided to go search the net for some new quotes and pictures that I wanted to include on my new board when it arrived.

I am working on a new project and I want to pre-pave how simple, easy and successful it is going to go, so I am collecting all the inspirational things around the subject that I could include on my first board of the program.

While I was finding some cool quotes and pictures I also came across some pictures of a beautiful beach in the tropics. I've been starting to think about taking a vacation lately so I saved the picture for a different board later on.

By "coincidence" a friend of mine emailed me a couple of photos taken of my family at a party we all went to last weekend, and some of them came out pretty cute.

"Wouldn't it be fun if I cropped out one of the family photos and placed our family directly "in" the tropical beach photo?" I wondered.

So I went back online and found some awesome free software I could play around with.

Well! That was pretty much the end of that! (Also the reason I never got around to posting yesterday.) I was having such a good time I couldn't stop myself. The next thing I knew I was cropping and pasting all over the place!

What a fun way to bring a Vision Board to a new level! Instead of just the normal inspirational photos and quotes - I now have actual pictures of my family and my self shown enjoying the new things I want to create.

I cropped a small picture of my head and placed it in the window of the new Cadillac Escalade I've been drooling over.

I put my head on Carmen Electra's body. I put my husbands head on a muscle builder (he might not have found it as amusing as I did - but I could tell by his eye roll that he wasn't too upset).

I placed us in front of Disneyworld (another trip we've been thinking about taking), I found a great picture of money falling from the sky and placed us under it. I even found pictures of women dressed in some cute outfits that I put my little head on.

It was just too much fun! Plus the pictures make me smile every time I look at them which is a pretty good vibration to be putting out when you are looking at something you want to create.

The inspirational photos that can be used for backdrops can simply be found in both Google pictures and on Flickr.com.

Obviously your personal photos you can download from your camera.

So get started having fun today! I have to warn you though, it might not be a good idea to do this at work. It gets awfully addicting!

Law of Attraction Freebie - Yes and No - The Choice Is Up To You!

I love when the Universe gives me signs about what I am supposed to do next.

It drives me crazy sometimes when Universe gives me signs about what I am supposed to do next.

As most of you know I pretty much post daily (other than weekends). I usually write my posts very early in the morning and I usually ask Universe to inspire me as to what to write about. It usually comes through pretty clear. I go to some favorite websites for fun, see one line in an article that inspires me and the next thing I know I have an entire post about it in my head. (It usually works like this - on the days it doesn't -- well let's not talk about that. Let's just say there is a lot of hair pulling.)

So anyway, I asked for the usual inspiration this morning while making coffee and then went to check my emails. Sure enough I received an email link from 3 different trusted friends of mine recommending the new Mind Movies program that is coming out on September 10th.

As most of you know, I am not usually big on promoting items in my posts because I never wanted to have a website full of promotions but with no substantial content.

But three emails on the same subject in the same day is extremely unusual - and as far as I am concerned a definite sign from Universe.

The only question is, is it a sign to me to purchase the product for myself or a sign for me to write about it? I am not exactly sure, so I am covering both bases just in case.

Many of you might have already heard of Mindmovies. It is a program where you make your own inspirational movies based on your own affirmations, with pictures you choose and music you decide to put in the background.

I have recommended a program in the past called VisionBoard which does something similar and I used it often to accomplish certain goals.

I didn't use it the way normal people do, however. I found it worked better for me to make a whole video around a specific subject as opposed to just doing one for general purposes.

For instance, if I wanted success on my website I would make an entire video around that one area specifically and would watch it at least a couple of times a day to really get the message embedded.

I am a big believer in subliminal messages. I realized quite awhile ago that if that is the way most of us have learned our negative beliefs, it just stands to reason that is also the level they need to be addressed.

Don't get me wrong. I think it is great to read and study and discuss new ideas, but for them to really take root, you need to attack them at the "core."

Anyway, that is the one part of this new program that I am really excited about. It gives you the ability to not only make your movie, but it also gives you the option to play it in the background of your computer while you continue working on your computer. You have the ability to make it nearly invisible in the background, yet you still have the ability to type or surf the web over it. How opaque you make it in the background is up to you, but I think it is an exciting way of having your "new" ideas really sink in without having to purposely take 10 or 15 minutes out a couple of times a day to watch it.

I haven't tried it yet myself (I'm ordering it today) but I figure if subliminal messages worked for selling Coca Cola in the movie theaters in the old days - this can be just as effective.

But that is not the reason for this post today. When I clicked further into the offer I found that they offer some awesome "no strings attached" freebies. All you need to do is give them your email address (you can always unsubscribe later if you want to) but the freebies are pretty cool. There is an awesome interview with John Assaraf (from The Secret) that is very inspiring and 100 minutes long! There are also 6 pre-made mind movies that you can use for free if you don't want to purchase the package. (I like them because they do what I do. They are designed around one subject, money, success etc. instead of general)

I then received a second email that included a free copy of Bob Procters ebook "You Were Born Rich" that covers some information that was not in the original Secret movie.

There is also a FreeTalking Ebook from The Masters of The Secret that you can listen to (I haven't listened to this one yet however, so I can't personally recommend it - but it can't hurt to check it out.)

And somewhere in the offers there is also a free interview with Joe Vitale (also of The Secret movie).

So go have some fun. Even it you don't purchase the product, there are at least of couple of hours of inspirational fun that is all available to you for free. (As for me, I'll let you know how much fun the program is when I receive it. I'm looking forward to this one!)

Law of Attraction - When Others Won't Do What You Want Them To

Morning All - Happy Monday! I came across this story this morning on the Abraham-Hicks message board and I enjoyed it so much I figured I would post a copy of it here. (I hope they don't mind, but I just found it so inspiring.)

A woman wrote in asking how to deal with the following scenario: She has a daughter and a husband who do not help her with anything around the house. They don't help cook, clean, shop etc.

She's called three sit-down meetings and nothing changed. She then went on strike for 8 weeks and still nothing changed! She said they had no problem with the house looking a mess and were happy to buy themselves meals out of the house. Meanwhile the messy house was driving her crazy!! Now she doesn't know what to do because the anger and resentment is building up towards both of them and she is not sure how to handle it.

The following is a response from "Bekki" which I loved:

"Which is why I live alone. ;-)

Frankly, do YOU like a clean place and does it make YOU happy to feel good in
it? Then do it for YOU. Ignore the others and YEAH, that can be VERY hard to do.

But once you remove yourself from them and just do what YOU have to do and never
talk to them about anything else about cleaning, etc ever again, they will also
feel that lack of you being removed and withdrawn from them.

I did this for years and years.. my ex would come home, climb into a computer
game and the house was all mine.. "ok, I see how you're playing this" I'd think,
but I DID stand up when after 4 years of my packing his lunch, one evening he
said to me, "you're not packing my lunch right". I immediately replied.. "It
will never be a problem again, because, since I no longer do it right, it's all
yours, I'll never pack it again".. I hear him say, "Oh, crap" under his breath
and that was the end of it.. and of me packing his boring ass lunch at 9 at
night. YAY!

As for my daughter, as I just kept MY space clean, she kept HER space clean and
does to this day .. but I love doing dishes as I get to think.. I LOVE keeping
my bathroom clean and sheets changed, etc.. we wont' talk about the rest of my
little condo that I use for storage..

Since you have no help and you admit that you've railed against the whole thing,
change the way you think of things and what you think of things WILL change.

Every day before you get out of bed, smile and stretch and think.. "I CAN"T WAIT
to get around in my gorgeous and clean house! I'll dust, wash, wax and as I
finish every single thing I have to do and bring love, joy, happiness and a
clean surrounding to my family, they will see the joy and love I've given them
and they will just relax and enjoy it with me!"

Will it work right away? who knows? but doing it for a while, giving up and
hounding again just won't get it. DO IT FOR YOU!!! not ever for THEM. YOU like a
clean place, make it so. They love you when you're happy in your clean place,
maybe they'll all grow up and enjoy the vibration of MAKING YOU HAPPY!

Do NOT count on anyone else's participation. At this second, claim that house as
YOUR house.. YOUR space where YOU are going to groove in it and BE HAPPY,
EXCITED, THRILLED to be there! Heck, put on an apron, hold out your hand for the
little birds to land on your finger, and while you sing they will chirp a
response to your tune.

Dance w your Swiffer.. spray your furniture polish like the finest perfume in
the world.. watch Dawn power your grease away (NO idea why I keep endorsing
Dawn, but there it is)! just totaly groove on YOUR feelings that YOU want in
your house.. good, airy, light, fun! And after a great long time, the world will
change as you know it.. butterflies will rule the world and we'll be dazzled by
their irridescence and gently fanned by their wings and glory. Pfft.. well, you
never know.

But when YOU get over all the angst that you've worked yourself into, you'll
realize that kids (no idea how many or their ages you have) revolt against
parents on all levels.. esp if they're teens or tweens or whatever.. and if your
husb wasn't trained by his folks to honor your home, you accepted that and have
to work around it.. he may shape up, he may not.. but YOUR vibes are what's MOST
important.. Just know that they might appreciate it down the road, they may not.

You have a couple of choices.. 1) move out and leave them all and find your way
to a commune where EVERYONE contributes, 2) shoot them all and no one will find
them under the clutter for a long time, since the trash will scent the
neighborhood before their bodies are ever found.. and still move out to a
commune, or 3) LOVE YOUR HOME and want to be able to invite dinner guests,
ladies over for tea/cards/recipe exchange and enjoy afternoons.. whatever.. but
rather than 1 or 2, make peace with YOU enjoying doing it all.

It could be worse.. but don't think of them.. think of all the good things that
will come from you not wearing them out with your anger and turning all that energy
into making your home a heaven to be in.

You are amazing and wonderful and a marvelous keeper of the home. And you WILL
be appreciated for it and SOMEDAY (again, see the butterfly theory and bird on
the finger.. NO! Not the finger AS a flipping bird! LOL), again, mercury will
align with mars and THEY WILL GET IT! and actually help out!

Now, when they do, DO NOT respond in surprise and make comments.. just go over
and hug and thank them for helping out and doing such a good job to help you in
your day. How old are these critters anyway? And trust me, if they are girls and
want to start having their friends over THEY WILL CLEAN so they won't be
embarrassed by a 'less than' house like their friends have.. you MAY end up w
more help than you ever dreamed of.. or not..

But you can also establish a 'learn to cook' situation for the kids.. as they
WILL move out someday (fingers crossed that they are a raging success and don't
move back in and you STILL have to clean up after them) and learn to fix their
own food!

(you can also create a YouTube page where you video stuff like "how to clean" ~
you can do very short ones on stuff all around the house!, "how to make a simple
casserole" .. on and on and MAKE it a fun and joyful and EDUCATIONAL thing..
just a thought!)

and making tea and having cookies with you!

Law of Attraction Manifestation Exercise #28 - Mastering The Art of Allowing

One of the hardest concepts to deal with when it comes to the Law of Attraction is the part about allowing. We are told that we are supposed to state our desires, believe that they are being brought to us then step aside and "allow" it to happen. But as you have probably seen for yourself this can sometimes be extremely hard to do.

It is hard to stop "wanting" something when you really want it. But the paradox here is that just the act of "wanting" infers to the Universe that you do not have it yet. Which thereby keeps it from you.

It can be so frustrating…I know!

The simple fact is: Allowing Takes Practice.

Most of us have never learned how to simply allow. Our whole lives we've been taught to work harder, fight harder, be better, improve ourselves, change things when we don't like them, take some kind of action.

And while in some instances we should do some of those things, it has become such a habit that we now don't know how to turn if off. It's like having your fingers in one of those Chinese handcuffs toys. The harder you pull - the tighter it gets - meanwhile if we would just relax, it would release us easily.

Think about it. When was the last time you simply allowed something to simply BE without feeling you had to change it, improve it, fix it, or wish that it was something different?

So this exercise is very simple. For the next few days learn to "allow" everything in your life to simply just "be" what it is. Without anger, without criticism, without wishing it was something else.

For instance, your current job. What are your normal thoughts around it? Do you wish you were getting paid more, do your normally complain about the lack of recognition that you receive, wish you had a different boss or any of the other million things that you believe make it unsatisfactory?

What if, just for the next few days, you were to just "let the job be what it is" and not let any negative thoughts in about it?

What if when you woke up tomorrow morning you said to yourself "You know something? This job simply "is" and I don't have to get into it any deeper than that."

Can you feel the immense relief that comes with that? Can you feel the weight instantly fall off your shoulders that for even just the next few days you don't need to mentally struggle with your thoughts? You don't need to do anything, change anything, fight for anything or fix anything. For the next few days you can just let the job "be what it is" and that's it.

The same goes for your relationships. The relationship with your parents, your siblings, your friends, your spouse, your children, your boss. For the next few days, simply allow the relationships to "simply be what they are." Drop the inner struggle. Stop worrying about not being close enough, or understanding each other more, or having to do anything to want to fix or improve the relationship. Relieve yourself of the mental pressures you normally put on yourself about how you want things to be different and just let the relationship be "what it is."

Do the same for your money concerns, your physical appearance, chores that need to be accomplished that you normally don't want to do. Give yourself a mental break and simply accept that they "just are" and that is fine and there is nothing you need to do to change them.

This may be a lot harder than it sounds at first, but once you do it, you will actually feel the relief in your physical body. Your shoulders will relax, your chest will feel like it is opening a little, you will feel the tension ease from your neck.

Just let it all go.

After a few days of practicing this in all areas of your life, then you can go back and decide on what things you would like to tweak a little.

One at a time and with Universe's help!

So now decide on the thing you would like to change the most.

Write it down as a task for Universe to take care of. Such as:

"Universe I choose to create $10,000. I know you will effortlessly bring me tons of opportunities to do this and I will easily recognize these opportunities when they are in front of me. I will feel the call to follow these leads and I know it will be effortless. Thank you."

Then let it go and practice your "allowing" again.

Know that Universe is now working in the background bringing this to fruition and the only thing you need to do is keep your eyes open for the opportunities that are going to present themselves to you.

Remember there does not need to be a mental fight or struggle in this. As a matter of fact it is just the opposite. The more relaxed you are and the less resistance you have, the quicker it is delivered.

As for the other things going on in your life - just let them be until it is time to make a request to Universe to change them as well.

Life in not meant to be the struggle most of us make it. Allowing takes practice, but when you have mastered it, you find yourself feeling much more relaxed and satisfied. The dissatisfaction you constantly feel is simply the resistance you create to what "is". If you learn to live without judging everything in your life as good or bad - if you learn to simply just "be" and learn to accept things just as they "simply are" you will release the resistance that has been holding you back from getting what you want.

The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind

One of the best books I have ever read about money and the Law of Attraction is T. Harv Ekers' book The Secrets of The Millionaire Mind.

As most of you know, I don't recommend many items in my posts unless they are truly worthwhile - which I really believe this book is.

I first took it out at the library thinking it would be a quick read to be returned in a week and instead ended up keeping the copy for myself and paying the library for the book. First of all, it unbelievably ended up being a real autographed copy by Mr. Eker himself that someone named Bob donated, but that was not the main reason I kept it.

I kept it because it was simply too good to give back.

One of my favorite things about the book is that it is one of those books where you can open the book to any page and receive an instant "kick in the butt" feeling about wanting to get out and create more money.

Basically the book lists very bluntly the different mind sets between people who have money and the people who don't. So simple, yet so profound.

I was actually so inspired by it that I created a "cheat sheet" for myself that I typed out - printed on "scroll like paper" and pinned it up above my desk in my home office, so I can look at it everyday.

I've included some of the items on the list below:

Rich Vs. Poor Cheat Sheet

Rich people believe they create their life
Poor people believe that life happens to them

Poor people complain to get attention
Rich people are too busy making money to complain

Rich people play the money game to win
Poor people play the money game to not lose

Rich people focus on opportunities

Rich people focus on rewards
Poor people focus on the risks

And this is just the first few chapters! There are over 40 more!

After each one of these quotes Mr. Eker goes into more detail about the differences in how "rich" people think as opposed to how "poor" people and the information and advice he gives is extremely enlightening and empowering.

So if you've been looking for an inspiring book that is going to "kick you in the butt" and get you moving I highly recommend this one.

It is well worth it, I promise you. And creating your own cheat sheet is not a bad idea either. Just take the quotes that have the biggest impact on you and put them on your wall as a constant reminder.

What is EFT and Does It Work?

When I first heard about EFT (The Emotional Freedom Technique) a few years ago, I was a little skeptical. The idea of being able to “tap-out” negative energy seemed a little too far fetched even to me, who is pretty much open to trying any spiritual practice at least once.

But not wanting to dismiss anything out of hand, I decided to give it a try. Six years later I am still using the technique for everything from a headache to any kind of fear that might occasionally arise.

It is an amazingly simple process that works wonders on anything from physical pain to fears and phobias to simply helping one to break a bad habit. It can even help you with weight loss, feelings about lack of money, sports performance or relationship issues.

The founder of the technique, Gary Craig, explains the process of EFT as based on “a new discovery regarding the body's subtle energies. Simply stated, it is an emotional version of acupuncture, except needles aren't necessary. Instead, you stimulate well established energy meridian points on your body by tapping on them with your fingertips. The process is easy to memorize and is portable so you can do it anywhere.”

In a typical session there are 8 different meridian points on your body that need to be tapped while you mentally address whatever your issue might be.

So a typical session would go something like this.

Say your issue is a fear of driving over bridges. You have had this fear for awhile. Every time you have ever gone over a bridge you can feel yourself tense up, you hold your breath, your heart feels like it leaps into your throat. So this is the issue you will obviously want to be healing.

So the first question you ask yourself is on a scale of 1 to 10 how much negative energy do I feel around this subject? Say your answer is 8. So now you create a statement for yourself such as “Even though I have this intense fear of driving over bridges, I completely love and accept myself.” (There are different end phrases you can use but I have found “I completely love and accept myself” at the end of statements work surprisingly well regardless of what you are trying to fix.)

As you keep repeating your sentence again and again you will tap on the 8 places described on the EFT video or website (more information on that later). You will do these series of taps through 2 cycles.

Then you are to re-ask yourself the original question. On a scale of 1 to 10 how much fear do I feel around this subject? You will be absolutely amazed at how much your fear level will have decreased. And I am not talking about a “Yeah, well maybe there is a little difference,” I am talking about a major “Holy Canoli! I cannot believe that this worked!” kind of feeling.

The only trick (if you want to call it that) is finding exactly what the “blockage” is.

For instance when I first heard about this technique my biggest problem at the time was creating money. So I ran through a whole bunch of statements regarding money. Such as:

Even though I don’t have a lot of money right now, I love and accept myself completely. (I felt a little better.)
Even though I haven’t done as well financially as I expected to yet, I love and accept myself completely ( I felt a little more relief)

I went through a bunch more. But then I hit on the big one.

“Even though I don’t think I am deserving of a lot of money, I love and accept myself completely.” All of a sudden, I felt like a 20 pound weight had been lifted off my chest! As in physically lifted off of me! I was stunned because I hadn‘t expected a feeling like that at all. It suddenly felt as if my chest has opened up and expanded!

You see, I didn’t even know that feeling “deserving” was one of the things holding me back from making money. I was just following advice I had found at the EFT website.

In looking back now, I can see many ways I might have unconsciously picked up that vibration in my lifetime and how somehow that idea had gotten trapped up inside of me.

By tapping on those physical release points I hit it dead on and the feeling was let go immediately.

It was my first experience of going from an 8 in anxiety down to a 0 in a matter of seconds.

I was so excited I started immediately tapping out other things. My fear of driving at the time, anxiety about unpaid bills, lack of self esteem, a constant nagging stomach pain, that I had. And I was able to bring relief to all those areas (though admittedly not as quickly or as dramatically as the money one) but with another round or two of tapping was able to eliminate them.

The greatest things about this exercise is:

1. You can do it yourself so you do not need help from others (though there are trained people who can help you take it to a deeper level if you desire)
2. It is free and easy to learn! You can be doing it for yourself in as little as 10 minutes
3. You can do it anywhere - because it even works if you do it mentally. (Because of coarse there may be times when tapping yourself in public would look a little strange)
4. You can even use it to help others. My young son was amazed when I did it on him to get rid of a headache. He thought it was like "magic". (The downside is he now asks me to do it in lieu of taking medicine for the bigger things. Sorry buddy - but nice try!)
5. It also works in ways and on issues you have never even considered.
